West Alexander is a borough located in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population of the borough was 604 according to the 2010 census. It is situated near the border of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, with Wheeling, West Virginia located approximately 12 miles to the south. The town has a small town feel with a number of small businesses, including a grocery store, pharmacy, and hardware store, among others. The primary economic activities in West Alexander are agriculture and natural gas production. There are also a few small parks in the area, including the Cross Creek County Park and the Raccoon Creek State Park.
